Reviews Title: Ballad Author: Maggie Stiefvater Review: Rarely do I ever like the second installment in a book or movie series. Not so with "Ballad," which is Maggie Stiefvater's follow-up book to "Lament."
This time the story is told from James' point-of-view rather than from Dee's; and I do not usually enjoy when different books in a series are told from a different characters point-of-view. I found myself more invested in James than in Dee, and I enjoy his snarkiness. This includes a field trip to Dallas, meeting a anti-vampire society, bickering with Boyfriend Bill the Vampire, and revealing a long lost secret. The Dallas section was a bit too long, still I'm looking forward to reading Club Dead. Check Availability
